September 2019 saw the 12th Stuff of Life Festival at Hedley Villas Park, Nottingham. The festival comprises a main stage in the centre of the park, a spoken word stage that has had multiple locations, an acoustic stage in Neds (a former pyclet factory) and various activities hosted in gardens and on the streets surrounding the park.
It was also my first time being Acoustic Stage Host. I got to coordinate a brilliant line-up featuring some of my favourite local acts and every single one was phenomenal.
12.15 - 12.45 The Bluesberry Jammers
12.45 - 1.15 Lighthouse
1.15 - 1.45 Dave Mooney
1.45 - 2.15 Lost Kind Words
2.15 - 2.45 Pixie Styx
2.45 - 3.15 Forest Fields Music
3.15 - 3.45 The Rise Choir/Atmosphere Glee
3.45 - 4.15 Stacey McMullen
4.15 - 4.45 Paul Carbuncle
It was my second time performing with The Bluesberry Jammers and I was thrilled with the fullness of the sound. Need to work on getting Andy up front and not hiding behind me
I also brought ‘Me Dad’ with me as my special guest. It was the first time he heard the band doing “Panic in the Water” and he is in it so it was lovely to be able to make a bit of a fuss of him.
