I had been superficially aware of the power couple of P4TH for some time, but I think the first time I properly met Rachel and Eagle was at a We Shall Overcome event at Emmanuel House. I was, as I often am at these things, crying (likely at Emma Ireland’s poem Love Letter to the NHS). Rachel spotted this and gave me a most fantastic hug full of boobs and love. I couldn’t have had a better introduction.
It was lovely to have a chat and a catch up with Rachel, and at the same time I got to think about some of my favourite songs and artists. I seem to have ended up with a girl power vibe going on here, and why on earth not. These are the videos I chose, all artists who I have found massively inspiring in different ways.
“Ladylike” - Storm Large
“Good Pair of Boots” - Jess Silk
“Carmen Queasy” - Maxim ft Skin
Back for another round of “Live From The Spare Room” to support P4TH. I promised I would do one in a onesie. What I have learned from this is it’s way too hot in the spare room with a onesie on :)
Coronavirus has meant cancelling gigs the world over. The team at P4TH have decided to respond to this with a massive ongoing festival. It’s not quite the same as bopping around down at the Summac Centre, but until we can go out safely, this is a damn close second.
